Looks like it has been a relatively quiet day out there … but then I have been trying to keep a low profile per orders from my doctors. Still, I found a bunch of stuff I think you ought to take a look at. I hope you find it interesting, if not enlightening.

There is so much truth to this commentary that it really is sad ... because hate, envy, jealousy are such useless emotions and all they do is cause trouble. (And I definitely am not in favor of trouble)

Paul Greenberg's GOP debates assessment ... always interesting to get his viewpoint

A very good review of why the Climate Change is anthropomorphic crowd is really full of illusions.

For those who think Donald Trump doesn't have any policy proposals ... well, think again ... his views on the Second Amendment and gun control

Since we don't have curbs here, it would be kinda difficult to do this ... and besides with the natural gas company busy extending service into our neighborhood, the road already has a plethora of red, blue, yellow, green, white and orange painted lines on it.

Interesting post-GOP debate poll ... not that it got much play ... still, it is way too early in this "race" to place much value in any poll.

When it comes to poverty in the US ... don't confuse people with reality ... especially progressives, liberals and Democrats ... they really haven't a clue

This is an exceedingly excellent and thought-provoking article on incarceration in American ... why it is, what it is, and possibly what could be changed.

Pictures tell stories that are worth a thousand words ... and then sometimes, the words don't really fit the picture and are just lies.

Everyone should bookmark this site and browse through it ... I would say often, but that would be unrealistic ... it is about the US Constitution and is very balanced

Ever since cars' engines began being run by computers, you really should have known that this would happen sooner or later ...

Iran's president once again takes to American airwaves to say: Death to America? It is just a slogan that we really don't mean and definitely is not directed personally at any individual American ...  HUH? Sorry, then don't take anything we say about Iran personally.

Oh, and Mr. President of Iran ... your boss just went on TV at home and contradicted you.

Oh well, President Obama probably is happy with this ... well, not the part of really trying to do anything, but that we keep losing in the wargames.

I love it when defense analysts say - but their equipment is obsolescent or obsolete and totally out-classed by what the South Koreans and the Americans have. Tell that to Custer and Hal Moore.

With all due respect, and having listened to his argument, but this General has his proverbial head up his derriere … but I suspect this perfumed prince of the Pentagon is merely marching to orders from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

This Arizona shooting suspect pleads innocence ... it will be interesting to see what evidence comes forth linking him to the crimes.

Once again the Greeks go to the polls ... although it seems that voter apathy has enveloped the country ... it will be interesting to see what the ballot results are.

Birthing a new constitution is never easy ... as Nepal is illustrating for the rest of us.

This is another of those asinine WaPo political pieces that seems set on portraying the GOP in a certain light. Hey, the CNN moderators set the terms of the debate and their focus was on foreign policy (and Donald Trump - which really is unfortunate) ... so how can the candidates answer the questions on domestic issues and policy when they aren't asked?

This, as far as I am concerned, is a tempest in a teapot (as Pappy used to say). And, Yes, The Donald doesn't have any obligation to defend the president.

The Russians seem bent to be up to more mischief. I wonder what happens if Belarus actually says no. I guess they will shut off its gas and other imports just as winter is coming on.

This type of information really should reshape the debate over the migration crisis in Europe. Only it won't ... and the other thing is: You keep looking at all the pictures and you just are not seeing women and children ...  you are seeing men, young men, and lots of them.

One of the drawbacks to modern social media is that allows people to be stupid on a global scale. But discounting the latest evolutionary discovery in South Africa because it is just a Caucasian plot to equate dark-skinned Africans with monkeys really is a stretch. And those that make such a claim … are just being stupid on a epic scale.

Two points for Sen. Rubio ... at least he is the one who is calling it as it is. If there is a government shutdown ... it will be the Democrats fault ... despite what the media will claim.

Ouch ... George Will lays a few heavy lines on Pope Francis ... unfortunately, Will is correct and the pontiff is wrong.
