I apparently found more stuff than I could go through and post yesterday … so here is some more.

Gee who would have thunk it ... and where did all that warming go?

My guess is that Compton still is a pretty rough place ... but I am not sure how you are to blame others.

Oopsie ... more illegal immigrant mayhem from Central American gangsters.

This is strange ... I suppose the NYT should also track races as well ... this is getting really stupid, folks. You want to Balkanize the country, then start looking for ways to separate us into little groups. We are all Americans, people, and that is all - emphasis on ALL - that should matter.

More on the Turks v. The Kurds ... again, ethno-religious divisions dividing a people ...

A bit of a backgrounder on the Turk-Kurd clashes

This problem could have - well, sort of - predicted. It raises the question, of course, who gets to pay to house, feed, transport, provide medical care, etc., to this onslaught? By rights it ought to be the stupid idiots in Syria and Iraq and other places in Southwest Asia and the Midddle East that are focused on fighting over who gets to oppress the masses.

Interesting. Seems the path to homo sapiens extends back a pretty good way. Now, an atheist or secularist will tell you that this disproves there is a God, especially a Christian God, because the Bible allegedly says man only goes back about 5000-6000 years. But they fall victim to the same trap they accuse Christians of: the literal inerrancy of the Bible. To wit I ask: Which Bible?

Like wagging our finger is going to stop the Russians from aiding their ally Assad ... give me a break.

OH woe is me ... if the government shuts down, it will be portrayed - as always - as the fault of the Republicans, while in fact it will be the fault of the Democrats and their tyranny of the minority.

Very cogent and concise exposition on why what Kim Davis did was legally wrong ... her stand, like other people I could mention in the higher ranks of our government, damages the rule of law.

I happen to agree with this article's author's view of the Black Lives Matter movement ... they really don't care about black lives.

Interesting essay on the Law of Armed Conflict ... and how is being debated. I understand all the moral reasons to abide by the accepted rules of the "Law of Armed Conflict", but it is hard to understand why the enemy - which rarely seems to abide by the same rules - gets a pass. I know it is easier to condemn those whose restraint leaves you alive and you possibly can influence the behavior of, while it is much more difficult to criticize those over whom you have no influence and would kill you if given the opportunity.

Interesting article from the New Yorker ... food for thought and consideration.
