The point being that life, society, communities, nations, are made up of individuals and we all make our own way and accommodations with those things. To deny that is to deny being human and to deny a human the rights, freedoms and liberty that they deserve.
This second article explains what a libertarian (like myself for the most part) stands for by debunking 10 myths about libertarians. It is probably the best explanation I have ever seen to explain what a libertarian believes.
